Publisher's description
From Rededia :Redianet Class is a networked program that allows an instructor display its screen and other multimedia contents, observe and act on all the PCs of the class and let the students collaborate with its companions showing, sharing and acting on the PCs of the group. Redianet Class offers instructors control over classroom PCs so that they can guide, monitor and organize the class from their own PC.
In this way, they can make the most of the local network without having to resort to cables or additional devices such as screen projectors and VCRs. Instructors can thus use tools to show their screen to the class, show films and guide their students. The evaluation version of Redianet Class is fully functional. However, after 30 days of install, the functionality will be limited to broadcasting the screen of the instructor to the whole class, an effective software-only substitute for a screen projector.

Version: Redianet Class 1.6
"Great experience in the classroom"
Pros: You get free screen broadcast. It is worth the small effort to install it.
I found the functionality adequate for a lecture on the computer lab, and the application is not overloaded with attractive but useless features.
Stable and inexpensive.
Cons: The chat is simple but I don't use it: I prefer to talk to my students directly or use an external application of my choice.

Version: Redianet Class 1.6
"It works, it changed my classes on the lab, it saves time and money !"
Pros: I liked the speed and stability of the application, running on a network of 20 Windows XP PC's with 100 Mb Ethernet for more than one hour.
It is just great to be able to combine in a class short presentations, individual work by students, and being able to see what are they doing all the time just sitting in front of my PC (mosaic view).
This also saved me to reserve a screen projector for the class, set-up, dim lights, ...
I found the co-browser very useful to visit web pages with my students and be able to bring all of them to the next web page when I do so (given that all student's browsers move automatically to a new page when the teacher's browser does so).
I personally enjoyed blocking (screen and sound, to avoid the distraction of the PC when I wanted to talk to the class) and power off the whole class (at the end of the class). There are other functions that I haven't explored yet.
I recommend to try since after the evaluation period (1 month) with full functionality, if you don't buy a license, you at least get the present of SCREEN BROADCAST for FREE forever ... (a FREE network-based screen projector)
Cons: There is no linux version so I could only use it on our windows labs.
