This clear-cut utility lets you restore lost files without bothering with disk-system details. Using Recover My Files' convenient interface, you will have no difficulty sorting files and choosing multiple items to recover. The program supports most common graphic, document, archive, e-mail, database, and financial file types, as well as others, such as MP3s. The Preview window displays text, images, and MS Office files, as well as archive contents. Recover My Files searches for just-deleted files or files stripped of their Windows-file reference information. You can focus your search on particular file types and cut search time with special options, such as starting with a specific sector, skipping to the ends of found files, or searching disk sectors instead of clusters. Unfortunately, the program doesn't estimate time remaining in an ongoing job. It does, however, offer built-in CD- and DVD-burning support, and you can run it from a floppy disk or a CD without touching the hard drive. Though it's difficult to fully assess Recover My Files' capabilities, as the demo disables saving, it seems like a solid choice for nonprofessionals.Publisher's description

"The *ONLY* data recovery package you should consider!"
Pros: it Works; I managed to recover a full 70GB worth of data on a formatted drive - every single file! It also kept the file structure and all file and folder anmes completely intact. The price is very good especially when others are charging per GB.
Cons: Just reported unkown in status, so didn't know if would recvoer when I paid for it. Videos were too large to preview.
Summary: I tired nearly 10 other packages before getting to this one. All of the others either failed to find the files, fialed to keep naming and folders sturcture or were simply too expensive for the amoutn of data I eneded to recover. After a disaster whe... read more >>

Pros: Easy to use. Uncovered old photos that I thought were gone for good. I could pick and choose which ones I wanted, it works great!
Cons: I loved the product. I don't feel that there is anything I can say negative about it
Summary: Well worth the money, if you want to really recover ALL lost or deleted files

"Cannot try out program first"
Pros: Program quickly found the file I was looking for...
Cons: ... but could not display that file type in the preview window. So there was no way to check the content of the file or even to tell if it was damaged beyond repair/recovery without buying the program.
Summary: I don't like spending money on a program that I need to do something very specific if there is no way to tell whether or not it will do what I need it to. What if it didn't? I doubt I'd get my money back. Allowing a couple of free uses - limited b... read more >>
