From Katsura Shareware :RealZoom is shareware. It generates a somewhat realistic zoomed (close-up) image of the original image as if you are taking a close look at your LCD or CRT screen with a magnifying glass. Available zoom types: RGB stripes, RGB dots, LCD, Trinitron (Aperture Grille, Grill?), Shadow Mask, and Video (interlace). I hope this is a useful image utility for graphic designers, graphic artists, and for anyone to help understand how an image is reproduced on an LCD or CRT screen.
NOTE: RealZoom generates a very large image when the original image is large, and the system may not be able to handle a very large image properly. Please make sure to select a portion of (or scale down) your large image and save a smaller image with your image editing application such as Photoshop, then load the small image with RealZoom. Thanks.
What's new in this version:
Added more zoom types. Still requires a lot of memory if you select one of the high magnification zoom types such as LCD (15x) and Shadow Mask (16x), and load a relatively large image such as an entire screen shot (e.g. 648MB for a 1152x768 screen shot) or a high resolution photograph (e.g. 2GB for a 2048x1536 photograph).
