While this is a great tool for beginning language students, the trial version offers only a teaser of all the program has to offer. ReadWrite Hiragana helps you with the basics of reading and writing one of the Japanese alphabets. A combination of video and audio exercises test both writing skills and comprehension. The trial version only includes the first three lessons, so if you're looking for more of a challenge, you'll need to order the software. Listen to character pronunciation and then record your own attempts, or try to write down the correct character to match the sound. A video will walk you through brush strokes and steps of writing characters properly. During testing the order of some of the sample tests were confusing; we weren't sure why harder listen/type tests came before some of the more basic multiple-choice tests. Overall, this is a good program for beginning students looking to master Hiragana.Publisher's description
From Declan Software :ReadWrite Hiragana teaches the Japanese Hiragana alphabet. Lessons include a structured introduction to each letter with a number of examples, each with a recording of its pronunciation. Students can use the voice-recording feature to compare pronunciation with a native speaker's. The Writing Lessons use animation to illustrate letter-stroke orders. Students can practice writing and receive instant feedback on their efforts. Reading, listening, and multiple-choice exercises also are included, which are designed to build a simple vocabulary.

Summary: Same as the Katakana software. It has many errors, even though it's been released over a year ago. If you like mistakes in your learning software, then have fun with it. Recommendation: STAY AWAY.
