CNET Editors' review
RapidWeaver occupies a middle ground between entry-level Web design applications like iWeb and the big-gun programs intended for Web design professionals. You still get access to higher-powered features (especially with the use of plug-ins and code snippets), but RapidWeaver is never daunting, focusing on simplicity over flexibility. You get all the tools you need to quickly create attractive, relatively complex Web sites--including easy integration of blogs, images, and video--without any coding and using a visually appealing interface that's so intuitive you'll barely have to crack a manual.
RapidWeaver offers a fast, sensible workflow, giving you many possibilities for mix-and-match customization with its use of templates and themes (including many available from third-party developers, so you don't have to worry about your site looking like everybody else's). Plus, RapidWeaver puts a premium on generating clean, compact code, so your site is more likely to load quickly and you can be more sure that what you see is what your users will get.

"Great entry-level web builder for the Mac"
Version: RapidWeaver 4.3.1
Pros
If you have content, you can put together a website very quickly.
You can download additional themes (templates) and use them with RapidWeaver.
You don't need to know any HTML or CSS to build web pages with RapidWeaver.Cons
If you know HTML and CSS and want to tweak the code, it's pretty tough to do it. Rapidweaver generates some code on the fly as you upload your files, and this caused me some problems.
A lot of the user-made themes (templates) cost $.Summary
I got this product as part of a MacHeist bundle ($20 for 10 applications, including RapidWeaver), so it was a sweet deal. Since I know HTML and CSS, I don't think I would have paid $80 for this app because it doesn't allow me as much control as I like to have over my sites. That being said, if you are new to web design or just need to get a site up quickly, this is one of the best WYSIWYG page builders I've seen. The code it generates is fairly clean, and you can install (some for purchase) a number of different plug-ins that will allow you to include different functionality such as slideshows or shopping carts in your site. In summary: if you're used to using a product like Dreamweaver, RapidWeaver will seem limiting. But if you don't have much experience with web design, RapidWeaver will empower you to build websites quickly and easily.

I've been using Rapidweaver for several years and highly recommend it. The ease of use is great for beginners and those who wish can take it further to create highly customized sites. Beginners should try the demo and see it they are comfortable with the software and watch the videos on the Rapidweaver site. There are other videos about using Rapidweaver on the internet as well. The Rapidweaver Forum is a gold mine of information - users, staff and developers are extremely helpful in figuring out just what you want to do if you have a problem or an idea. There is an amazing group of plugin, theme and add-on developers who extend the capabilities of Rapidweaver. This software has been around a long time and the staff and community are devoted to making it even better all the time. I moved to this software from Dreamweaver several years ago and never went back. I use it to develop customized sites for clients. Keep in mind that it is made to be used by one user at a time, though there are plugins and addons that can allow input from others. In other words, it is not a CMS system, but can be customized to allow CMS to work.
I use Dropbox to store my files so I can access the files from both my computers.
