RadarSync - Free Edition keeps your PC running on all cylinders by keeping you computer's software and drivers up to date. When we put it through the ringer, it worked quickly to perform an update scan. However, it took a considerable amount of time to download updates, and slowed down our computer's performance to the point we weren't able to continue working.
The main user interface is very straightforward, but we did find a few misspellings that lessened the program's overall professional appearance. First things first, we used the program to scan our computer for updates. The scan process took only a few minutes and the program pulled up our PC's running components as well as their status. We appreciated having the option of selecting the programs we wanted to update. Once we checked them off, the program took a long time to download the updates. On top of that, we found that we couldn't do much else on our computer since the updates slowed its performance to a crawl. The Software Packs feature was a bit confusing. According to the brief description, a pack is collection of software created by you, the user. We tried to use the Help link to figure out how to use the feature, but it took us to an unavailable Web page.
After using this program, we were left on the fence. The lack of direction leaves some things unexplained, but its primary features and functions were very easy to operate. Ultimately, it worked well as an update tool, so if you can overlook its slow performance and the lack of user direction, RadarSync is free and might be worth a try if you want one place to manage updates.
