Recover data lost to viruses, malicious attacks, hardware failures, and operating system crashes.
R-Studio is a comprehensive data recovery and undelete program renowned for its ability to recover mission-critical data lost to viruses, malicious attacks, and hardware failures or operating system crashes. It supports FAT/NTFS (All Windows), exFAT(WinMobile, Windows Vista and Windows 7/8/8.1/10), ReFS (Resilient File System), HFS/HFS+ (Mac), UFS1/UFS2 & Ext2FS/3FS/4FS file systems and functions on local and network disks, even if partitions are formatted, damaged or deleted. All 64-bit Windows versions are supported as well Additional advanced algorithm for raw file recovery (search for file signatures) increases the quality of recovery and finds files not recognized in file system metadata. Dynamic disk and RAID (including RAID6 and reverse RAIDs) are supported as well as recovering encrypted files, compressed files and alternative data streams. Automatic RAID parameter recognition and support for parity delays in all applicable RAID layouts. Files and file systems structures (NTFS/FAT boot sectors, MFT file record, MBR, LDM structures) can be viewed and edited in the professional disk hex editor. In addition to byte to byte copy of any object visible in the Drives panel, smart copy of partitions and hard drives with size and offset adjustment is available. In-place saving of recovered files on a remote computer allows to serve computers over the Internet connection. Extended Viewer Plugin allows viewing a content of the found files to estimate recovery chances prior to purchasing. Flexible parameter settings give you absolute control over data recovery. S.M.A.R.T. attribute monitoring to show hard drives hardware health and predict their possible failures.
this download is malicious software and used as a single term to refer to virus, spy ware, worm etc
Cons
Malware is designed to cause damage to a stand alone computer or a networked pc

Pros
Easy to use, complete file recovery, no recovering files as strange unreadable formats, allowed you to bulk rename files back to original file names, free for home user to use on flash drives, CF and SD cards that are FAT 12, FAT16, FAT32 and exFat.
Cons
None that I have discovered at this time.
Summary
Because I wasn't paying attention while my husband was getting ready for work, I chose the wrong delete option when clearing off a CF card. I chose DELETE ALL instead of DELETE SELECTED. And of course I couldn't stop the deletion while in progress.
I immediately started SD Card Recovery Pro... effing USELESS. It found 74 files. Some of which were from 2012! Too bad I had deleted over 300 recent images. It only recovered 5 of the deleted images. Their suggestions: try doing it in card reader. Too bad I already had in 3 of them. 1 built into desktop, an external, and 1 in my laptop.
Then came EaseUS File Recovery. It found over 900 files. YAY! Unfortunately it recovered them as unopenable TIF and ICO files. I tried every graphics program I had on the computer trying, and searched for others. Even had session EaseUS remote connect. Still kept recovering as wrong file type. I was given typical "something wrong with your system" excuse.
Next Iolo Search and Recover - Ok, this found more of them, but only two of accidentally deleted photos. In total about 150, but all recoverable and usable.
Just about read to give up, I searched and found one called "R-Undelete". Not expecting much but hoping for the best, I installed it and ran it. R-Undelete found over 900 images/files. I recovered all the sunrise photos I took that morning, and then some. All in their proper format. All readable, openable, not corrupted.
good, but not perfect.

Pros
Not the best data recovery software i know.
Cons
I lost my photos from my iphone 6plus, I got them back in 1minute with the data recovery software called:Hdata recovery software. It is very safe and the most effective.
Summary
hope it can be better than HData recovery,but...
Smoothly worked for me, all my data recovered

Pros
i recovered all my data. My Lenovo laptop with a WD HDD stopped booting Windows 7, neither in safe mode. Rebooting from last good Windows did not worked, I took the disk and connected via USB to other laptop and the partitions where not recognized. I tried with Power Data Recovery 6.8 and Stellar Phoenix Data Recovery and both failed to recover my data. Demo version of RStudio read all the filesystem folders structure in the first attempt. You can open each folder and even preview your photos and documents. I bought the license (worth the money). Then marked what I wanted to recover and clicked Recovery Marked, choose a destination folder in other disk and that is it. You get your folder structure saved. Y recovered all my data. I did not used their support, neither more advanced thigs (except scan I explain in cons)
Cons
I am not a saavy IT guy, only know the basics. Once I bought the license I did an scan (even I saw my files in the demo without scanning). It took almost 4 hours for a 500 gb disk (USB connected). After that, RStudio showed many possible partitions and suggested with green color good candidates to be your partitions, none of them were the right ones. I clicked the one that I initially used (before scanning)and saw all my files. So, try first without scanning, just do Open Files in a good partition candidate you saw (in my case I had 2 partitions 100 and 400 GB, the second one was more probably my data so I took it). If you have to scan do not give up if the greens do not work, then try to see important files in each partition, if you can preview them then you can recover them. The SW seems to have many advanced features for more knowledge people. I think if you start to navigate in the options you can get lost. You can keep in the first screen and still recover your data.
Summary
This did the magic recover for me, after failing with other well rated products. If you are looking for free software this is not for you. It does not have features to fix your file systems, at least for dummies, but you can recover your valuable data to other disk and then do a fresh install of Windows, as I did. The good thing is that you do not have to pay the license upfront. You can download a demo, and check if RStudio can allow you to preview your files, only buy if it works for you.
An intermediate recovery App

Pros
It is a good tool to recover data after all kind of disk disasters. I liked its search option, which made data recovery task very easy. I recovered my data, which is lost due to accidental formatting of the hard drive. I recovered up to 350 GB data with the help of this tool.
Cons
Regarding data recovery, this software is quite good, but it is very complex to use. I am also not satisfied with its technical support facility as it was not available for 24/7.

Pros
None that I found.

Cannot even see drives or folders that I have NO trouble with. Cannot find Recycle Bin, which is incredibly SAD!

DO NOT TRY OR BUY. It does nothing!
Phenomenal Data Recovery Software
cnetsjf
Pros
The Mac product created an image and recovered files (preserving directory structure and file names!) from a failing hard drive and was able to skip unreadable segments of the hard drive in the process. Almost as important was the company's decision to permit you to make an image using their Demo software. Once the image was successfully created, purchasing the license was a foregone conclusion! Every other data recovery product I tried stopped in the middle of recovery and said to use Chkdsk to fix the drive. By the time I found R-Studio, the drive would not mount on three different XP systems, due to the read errors. Since it couldn't be mounted, Chkdsk could not be run. Even though the drive would not mount, I was able to see the partition containing my data using an Acronis boot disk from Disk Director, but Acronis could not copy the partition or clone the disk due to the unreadable file segment errors. Drive failed in the middle of a backup. WD My Book 250GB drive 10yr old
Cons
R-Studio's product is hard to find. I googled every possible combination of "data recovery", "unreadable file segment" etc. and just happened to read a thread by a school teacher who was desperately looking for help in recovering data from his failed drive. He was eventually told to take the drive to a specialty shop, but he was nice enough to follow up, give thanks for the help, and indicate that he no longer needed help, since R-Studio had done the trick for him.
Summary
Much better than any product I've used. Recovers data from unmountable partition. Automatically skips unreadable file segments. Preserves file names and folder structure. Demo policy is tremendous.
Buyer Beware!!! Spend Your Money Elsewhere
halhoyle
Pros
Relatively fast at finding only files that are corrupted and cannot be opened.
Cons
Bought this software within the last ten days (June 2013) and ran it on a 500G external (non-OS) disk drive, with respect to which I had already run 3 other recovery programs. This piece of .... (IMHO) did recover lots of files and folders only a couple dozen of which were not corrupted and could be opened. The other recovery software produced thousands of usable files and several gigs of recoverable information.
Summary
Recovered 600GB of RAW
joeddoe
Pros
Comprehensive capability. Good User Interface. Lots of support resources. Very effectively recovered file system and variety of files in ntfs partition that had gone to RAW.
Cons
Lacks data recovery wizard, but otherwise easy to use. Spent $70 on another product before discovering R-Studio.
Summary
Tried three or four other data recovery products that all failed miserably before finding R-Studio (relabeled as Seagate File Recovery Software). Worked right out of the box, where the others had failed.
Only file retrieval you will need
Mossyj
Pros
It works. It brings back folder structures and file names where others do not. It is relatively cheap considering how well it performs. Runs well on machines with limited specs.
Cons
Not free. I did have some issues running it on Vista, but really I blame Vista.
Summary
After paying much more for another product that retrieved almost nothing, and what was retrieved was basically a nameless pile of files, I was relieved to find R-Studio. It brought back thousands more files complete with folder structure and original names. For files that it couldn't retrieve all the name information it still brought back what it could. If I never use it on another drive it will have more than paid for itself just by this one use.
