Kernel Password Unmask 1.0 shows and unmasks password of any Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP application or program. This wonderful little utility unmasks and reveals the password hidden behind asterisks. It successfully reveals the password of FTP Client software like CuteFTP, FlashFXP, SmartFTP etc. Open Kernel Password Unmask Software and then open the window having password in asterisk form, as you open the password window the password automatically reveals.
Lost Gmail password. Google pass recover site failed. Only option was to recover Gmail password from Outlook which still worked. Unfortunately Outlook password window was asterisks. Launched unmask, Opened Outlook settings and password was there.
Cons
Unpolished interface but this is minor to fact it recovered password.
No exit on program, have to log off and then again on. Still a minor inconvenience.
Polished interface with clean exit would have earned it 5 stars.
Summary
For those of you who find themselves between a rock and a hard place, i.e. Google, with no one as in live person to talk to, this is a way out. We were on the verge of transferring everything over to Hotmail simply because we could not recover our Gmail password from Google's automated password recovery site. It sent an email saying the account we were using was non existent. It sent this email to the same account the message said didn't exist. Go figure.
