From SDMD :Groupware for Outlook without Exchange Server (shared PST) Public ShareFolder make it possible for several users to connect Outlook-PST files at the same time. The shared Outlook-PST files with full access and rights for read and write. To share contacts, calendars or inboxes, is one of the most important functions of groupware solutions. The program Public ShareFolder supplies this alternative access with all Outlook versions (97-2003).
Version 1.2 includes new language versions.

Pros: Easy and fast installation.
Easy configuration.
Easy to use.
Sharing of 1 or more PST-Files - so it's possible to use databases up to 40GB and more.
PST-Backup with Standard-Tools possible.
Needs no maintenance - low TCO.
Cons: in Outlook 98/2000 workgroup mode needed.
Trial-Limitation ;-)

"Good tool but price is to high."
Pros: Individual rights for each User.
Shared PST file. Outlook 98-2003 compatible. Exchange folders sync. Off-line folders. Simultaneous connections.
Cons: Problems with large amount of data >1000 contacts, emails, etc. PST limitation as central database. Complicated installation, for Advanced users only. Trial limitations (maximum 10 simultaneous connections). Groupware Solution for small groups (up to 10). Preffered local networks. Very high price $250 for 2 users (PC's). I'll recommend Microsoft Exchange or hosted Exchange solutions, or if you are with small budget try to find it at: slipstick.

"Outstanding, very easy solution to sharing Outlook!"
Pros: I have been using this program for a couple of years. Initial setup is no big deal for someone with a reasonable familiarity with windows and networking. After that, there's ZERO maintenance. I've checked every other possible solution out there and they all stink. This is far easier than installing and managing Exchange. Amazing the world hasn't discovered this program at this price.
Cons: On my version, when you click on the "Close" button, the program exits instead of minimizing to the tray...big deal! So minimize it and don't close it.
