This tiny application displays all active processes, though it mostly duplicates Windows Task Manager's capabilities. The bare-bones interface displays a list of all running programs including the process name, amount of memory used, and file path. The program detects and highlights hidden processes, identifying them as potentially harmful, though in testing it didn't uncover anything that wasn't also found with the Task Manager. You can select a process and terminate it with a single click of a button. Unlike with other programs, you can't initiate a Web search to find out more about a process. Process Master's lackluster features work just fine, but this app didn't outperform the standard Task Manager in our tests. Anyone can use this simple app, and a standard 30-day trial will tell you if the cost is worth what Process Master delivers.
