One of the best things about shopping online is that you can comparison shop for as long as you like before making a decision. Superfish Window Shopper For Firefox is a browser extension that aims to simplify this process by showing you items that are similar to the one you're currently viewing on a wide variety of Web sites. If you can't rest until you've found the best deal, this extension might be just what you're looking for.
The extension is quite easy to use; it functions by simply adding a small button that says "See Similar" below the image of the product you're looking at. Click the button and a window appears showing that item and similar ones, along with prices, at other online retailers. Superfish supports many of the most popular Web sites, including Amazon, Walmart, Target, Overstock, and many other department stores and specialty retailers. Overall the extension seemed to work well, although it did seem to create some formatting problems for some Web sites. Its quest for similar items wasn't always a great as it could be, either; if we're looking at a $316 pair of Gucci sneakers, we're not sure why Superfish thinks we might also be interested in a $60 pair of New Balances with Velcro closures. Still, although Superfish isn't perfect, it is a useful tool for shopping the Web without searching individual sites one by one.
Superfish Window Shopper For Firefox installs and uninstalls without issues. We recommend this extension to all users.

Pros
None that I can think of.
Cons
Stores messages in your profile "user.js", which can grow to many megabytes and slow your PC to a crawl. Only experienced PC users would find this. I wonder how many other people don't know why their PC is running slowly?
Summary
The group who wrote this add-on need to employ some experienced software engineers, although I think this add-on no longer exists. But I won't try anything else from a group connected with "Superfish".
