CNET Editors' review
This tool promises to put a stop to those pesky pop-up ads, but we never got it to work. Popup Purger doesn't offer much in terms of a user interface. It places a shortcut on your desktop and one in your taskbar.
Right-clicking on the taskbar shortcut brings up the settings menu. The publisher advises that you run a test through its Web site to make sure the blocker is working. We ran through the test and sure enough, the pop-ups were still there. No matter how often we tweaked the settings, the pop-ups still were there. A Help menu/FAQ is offered through the publishers Web site, and we followed the advice, but to no avail.
Stick to your current browser's pop-up blocker or find one that can actually get the job done. Popup Purger can't.

"Why Pay $20 When you can get it for free"
Version: Popup Purger 3.1 build 310
Pros
Go to MSN.Com and download the MSN Search bar for Internet explorer. The popup stopper, included in this, is far better than any Popup blocker that I have ever tried. And the best thing is its free...
Cons
I don't like paying for it if I can get it for free.
