CNET Editors' review
Out of the multitude of pop-up killers around today, we doubt anyone would willingly choose this featureless, low-performance offering. The unoriginally named Popup Killer doesn't have an interface to tweak settings, which seemed odd at first, but made sense once we discovered the program can't be configured in any way. You can't even disable or enable the application by right-clicking its system tray-icon, and it doesn't flash or beep when it stops an ad. Standard features, such as a whitelist and a statistics log are absent, so it goes without saying the application doesn't offer any advanced functionality. Popup Killer's performance was equally miserable, blocking only a few of the many ads we threw its way. We'd suggest that nearly every user leave this utility at the bottom of the barrel where it belongs.Publisher's Description
From DigitByte Studio:
Popup Killer stops annoying pop-up ads when you surf the Internet. It also blocks Windows Messenger in Windows XP/2000/NT, which can interfere with your programs running. It is easy-to-use, without any configuration. It runs automatically when Windows starts, and saves time and the bandwidth of your Internet connection.
