POP N Check reside in the system tray, checking your mail on POP3 servers on given intervals. It tells you when you've got new mail. You can have up to 100 accounts, and it supports various authentication algorithms. If you want, it can pop up a balloon box when new mail arrives.

Version: Pop'n'Check 0.5

"doesn't work"

Pros: Pretty icon

Cons: It didn't work. I set it up to watch two email accounts. I then started sending messages to them. A half an hour later, it still had not picked up on new mail, so I logged into the accounts, and sure enough, the email was there.

This just does not work.
