In the game, you control a flying saucer-like ship, called a 'Pod'. Five years ago, aliens invaded the Earth. Those who fought back against the aliens were captured or killed. You were one of the captured. To amuse themselves, the aliens send captured humans into the Pod arena, where supposedly they have a chance to earn their freedom if they win. It's never happened... yet. After five years of captivity, it's finally your turn to play. Your objective is to capture the computer's flag and return it to your flag. Doing so advances you to the next level, with a new board, smarter opponents and faster gameplay.
