From Nirvana Technologies :PLUS 1D is a bar nesting optimization software, which helps reduce the waste in cutting any 1D (linear) material like pipes, bars, cables, tubes, channels, frames, etc. The optimizer automatically generates the optimum cutting plans once the part list and the available stock length have been entered.
It has a simple user interface and you get the optimized result, with detailed reports at the click of a button. You can import data from various sources (CSV files, text files) and use units as mm, inches, or fractional inches.

"simple, speedy and fully functional"
Pros: Data entry is simple and stock and parts can be imported from CSV files
Processing the cutting data is instant for the jobs that I work on,(averaging 1500 parts).
The software is full of the functionality to allow nesting on a multitude of machinery.Cons: The output is limited to rtf files. I would like to see a simple txt or csv output of the cutting lists that would allow us an others to automate this software seemlessly within our factory system.
Summary: I have been looking at different 1d packages over the past 6 years.
This package is the closes one to match our requirements. We use it to nest profiled tubes in a factory environment, from 40mm OD to 315mmOD.
