Publisher's Description
From SpaceTime Studio:
PluckyX is an application for monitoring the content of many websites at once. There are many programs that do this, but PluckyX is one of the first for MacOSX and also has a friendly, efficient interface for easily viewing the content of many, many sites. PluckyX is multithreaded, which means that the results start coming in almost immediately after you request them. A recent test of 30 sites took a total of only one minute!
Furthermore, you can customize PluckyX by adding your own sites (see the bottom of the README for examples). This means you can monitor your favorite message board, local intranet, or most any other site. You can also share bookmarks with your friends by copying (or sending) a copy of the corresponding xml file from Plucky's Reference/Sites folder.
What's new in this version:
- Moved optional source count to its own column.
- Fixed sorting to permanently keep "All Sources" at top.
- Fixed "Updated" column to sort correctly instead of lexicographically
- Added option to show individual count of unread items for each source.
- Modified date-calculating code to be more compatible with older versions of MacOS 8.
- Fixed fetching of sites such as VersionTracker which would timeout and never show information. If the timeout happens, it tries to use whatever... See all new features
