This software allows you to emulate your keyboard and mouse with your game controller, and otherwise customize the controller's behavior. Many PC games do not directly support game controllers, but with Pinnacle Game Profiler you can use any controller to play any game. Games that normally require an awkward keyboard and mouse control system can now be played with your favorite game pad or joystick. Create your own commands or use the built-in Pinnacle update feature to download pre-made command sets and configurations.

There are no pros, unless you count the excitement leading up to the instant error message.
Cons
Now I have to delete this junk off my PC, thanks for the wasted time.
Summary
Next time you make software, please make sure that it works. If the trial service went well I was going to buy this to play many of my old pc games. Thanks for nothing Pinnacle, you have wasted my time. (I have a Windows 7 premium 64 bit os) Let this be a warning to all who have Windows 7, this doesn't work for you.

I can actually get to work inside Star Wars the Old Republic.
Cons
Proper setup can be tricky. The initial download will not be compatible with Windows 7. For me that required downloading the Manual update to get the correct version.

Running Windows7-32 bit. Installed, rebooted and tried to launch. Every time the program said "you are not running the latest version for your operation system" and you get a download link. So I download the latest, go through the force reboot and get the same problem. After the third install/reboot decided this was worthless. There's nothing special about my system nor this program.

The software its-self if littered all over my computers registry. Luckily I have an image backup from before I installed this garbage.
Summary
I would take the time to use the free utility out there and program the controller yourself. This program does nothing more than what you could do with the same amount of time on your own without this trash.

"Pinnacle is at it again..."

Pros
Many new updates that can add three and four times as much functionality to an XBox Controller on a P.C. are prominent reasons why this tool is at the top of its game.
Cons
The complexity can be a bit intimidating for a new user but, the help documentation and an active online community will help solve that problem. Activation of the product should be far more straight forward.
Summary
As it was stated the utility is in a class of application that really don't have very many contenders but, the competition is irrelevant. Pinnacle Game Profiler has so much power and intuition in its design that you will not find a game that can not be managed aside from insanity platformers with a trillion buttons.
The price is right, the power is all there and the thing just works. There's a Windows Vista and 7 desktop gadget that allows you to access profiles for the controller and optionally start the game that the profile applies to in one click. No banners, no bloat menus or gratuitous button keeps the tool very light weight and it can be aggressive if need be for those hard-headed games that don't want to play nice.
There are plenty of wizards to get you and keep you in business or you can go the manual route all the way. There is a monster library of game profiles for the tool at its community forum with the creme of the crop receiving recognition for a job well done by the application publishers all the way up to and including trade of services.
The developers of this tool are serious and committed to its ongoing development and the tool itself is worth the price for a license. It's just an all around good buy serving what I call a trinket niche that brings value to gaming period not just playing legacy games.
I use this guy with Call of Duty, Modern Warfare 2, MotoGP 2002, and numerous other titles like Crysis. This utility makes a big difference and when a "video game" runs you for $60 at a clip you deserve to get your money's worth enjoying it.
The Pinnacle Game Profiler maps and keyboard key, mouse buttons (left and right) and mouse wheel to any game pad provided that you have enough buttons or know how to layer controls by toggling layouts. It will cover your bases for you -- I've been using it for around three years now and it's a keeper. -
