Version: Ping Test Easy 2.08
"A little crufty, but solved my problem"
Pros: I needed to do a ping, keep the statistics, save the individual ping records to a file, and choose a ping interval. The built-in Microsoft ping can do the first three, but this program let me do the fourth as well. I was not able to find any other freeware program that could do all four requirements.
Cons: Text (for example, the 'help') is frequently mis-displayed or mis-updated, both here and on the author's website.
The bugs in the screen display scrolling, however, can be fixed by downloading the newer version (2.10) from the author's website: ping.autobaup.com/download.htm.
Finally, beware that the program will let you set a log file while a ping is in progress, and it will confirm that it has done it, but it won't actually write anything to the file. You have to restart the pinging.
