• Was good but now very outdated

  Pros

  Easy to use with calendar and contacts, alarms and envelope and label printing. Love the alarm system where you just click "remind me in 30 minutes or an hour etc" and it pops up again at the time you state so you don't forget something. Can also do recurring alarms, weekly, monthly yearly, every 2 weeks etc.

  Cons

  Looks very outdated and seems like it hasn't been updated it a long time. Nowadays it is essencial to be able to sync these sort of programs over devices or you lose your alarms if you are away from your pc. It's a shame as it was a good programme but needs to be kept up to date with technology.

  Summary

  I wouldn't recommend this for a new install as the release date for the latest version was Feb 2011 and will soon be obselete.

  Pros

  Someone looking for a simple to use contact manager will find this software useful. Very simple to use and navigate: not difficult at all to get up and going.

  Cons

  The one draw back for me was none customizable buttons.

  Summary

  For the price I don't anyone could ask for more. It certainly will do most of what someone is looking for.

  Unfortunately, it's impossible to fix an appointment beyond several years (I don't know exactly how many). For example, if you buy a car and you want to put an alarm in 4 years for a technical control, it's impossible.

• Watch out for the pop-alarm option!

  Pros

  Straight forward contact list software. Simple to use. Simple to navigate and no real learning-curve.

  Cons

  The pop-up date alarm is an option. If you activate it and unfortunate as I am, it will continue to come up and lock up on the screen so that it cannot be stopped without a Ctrl-Alt-Del. This has happened to me several times since Feb. 2011.

  Summary

  There is no published contact number or chat for support. So if they don't answer your emails in a week or more, you may be stuck as I am at this moment. If you want a basic no frills contact list that is simple to use. This may be it. However, you may want to never activate the alarm date reminder which I had considered an important part of any business contact list when referrals are most important.

  Pros

  Basic operation is fairly intuitive. Can easily maneuver through setup and entry.

  Cons

  Creating and printing lists is troublesome. I have used Pimex for quite a few years now and still have problems creating specific lists for printing labels.

  Pros

  Address book with places for birthday, anniversary etc., with reminder capabilities. Calendar with search options, and reminder capabilities for appointments. You can add notes or keep a journal too. Love these options!

  Cons

  No multiple alarm capabilities. Can't sync to google calendar, which would be a nice option instead of having multiple calendars.

  Summary

  I downloaded 4 different programs and ended up uninstalling the others and kept this one. It had almost everything I need and the others were not as user friendly or as capable as this program. I recommend trying it out! It's hard to find something that meets all of your specifications, but this one comes really close. :)

  Pros

  The application is easy to use and quite comprehensive. There is rather pricy CRM software out there that ay have a tough time competing. It is loaded with features and functions very well. The cost is very reasonable! Functionally accurate importing

  Cons

  I was not able to find any.

  Summary

  In the past I have used CRM software such as ACT!4 which I never bothered to update since I never could find a program where importing the 2300 contacts would custom sort especially the First and Last names where they belong. I had a similar listing program recently purchase which cost the same as PIMEX without any of the great features, and never could import the First and Last names properly, even when I optionally paid another $20.00 for the business edition. PIMEX does what I wanted at a reasonable cost I wasn't expecting. If you need to keep track of contacts and communicate with them in some form, this will do it and even allow customizing some of the extra fields.

  Decent layout, fairly simple to use.

  Cons

  Poor customer support, company Web site not up to date, I subtracted 4 stars for PIMEX having a high price and poor customer service.

  Summary

  Why pay $35. for a PIM when you can get a comparable or better product for free? Especially when customer service is poor?

  Appears to be a very good product, loaded with features. I will probalby not really use all the capability.
