Though MemoriesOnTV suffers from a few interface quirks, creating a DVD slide show packed with special effects is a walk in the park. The software divides each task, such as importing images and music, adding effects, and creating DVD menus, into separate screens. Time-saving tools, such as image- and scene-transition editors, are cleverly presented only as they're needed in the authoring process. The software's extremely linear interface can make single-slide and transition design a cumbersome process, however. Customization for DVD menus also is limited, allowing little more than power over background and chapter images. Even with the limited control, however, the end result is impressive. With a few minutes of work, you'll have an eye-catching slide show that will run on nearly any DVD player.

PictureToTV lets you create and burn video on CD with transition effects and music from your digital photos. You can watch your created CD on standard DVD or VCD players, or on PCs or Macs using a separate DVD/VCD software player. PictureToTV lets you organize your pictures into multiple albums and autogenerates a menu to view the albums on TV (navigated through DVD/VCD remote). You can also store your original pictures together on the same CD, should you later need them for high-resolution printouts.
