If a picture is worth a thousand words, is a frame the punctuation? Photo Frame Maker installs easily, and a Flash-based demo opens to briefly explain how to use the program. Images from a hard drive or disk are easily uploaded to the program. Click a frame that suits your style, and it's automatically added to your chosen image. You also can edit images for color and brightness, as well as crop, resize, or add text. One drawback is that the application window's dimensions are fixed, making it impossible to display a large image at full size. The one-week trial period also is quite short, and may not be enough for some users to decide whether the application is worth purchasing. A basic utility for pictures that need some pizzazz, Photo Frame Maker will suit hobbyists and others who prefer simplicity over a wide feature set.
