Descend to the planet to discover what catastrophe happened to the initial colony.

The Pioneer Project. A plan born of desperation, conceived in response to the imminent destruction of their home worlds. As plans for the evacuation began, unmanned probes were sent into deep space to find a habitable planet. When a potential site was discovered, the first interstellar transport ship, Pioneer 1 was sent to establish a colony. Pioneer 1 confirmed that the Planet Ragol was a suitable location, and the initial colonists started preparing the planet for the main wave of refugees, beginning with the construction of the Central Dome.

7 years later... Pioneer 2 completed its long voyage with the main wave of refugees aboard. But as Pioneer 2 entered orbit and opened a communications link with the Central Dome, an enormous explosion shook the entire planet. All contact with the thousands of men and women of Pioneer 1 was lost.

Summary
You may want to skip right ahead and download Blue Burst. The current version of the game is deemed the safest version yet. PSOPC is a great game, not up to par with it's Console based offspring, but great nonetheless. There are some files and patches missing, so before you rush into play, look around for the latest patches. Many people run private servers, so you may want to look into that as well. Download this for a good peak, then go for the Blue Burst.

No sound, you can't use items or access menus, you can't get hurt, you can only find ONE item (a telepipe, and you can't even use it), you can't advance on to any other levels, and the biggest bummer... they don't even tell you what the controls are. Or let you configure them. If you really want to get a feel for what the gameplay is SORTA like, download it. Otherwise... it's not too fun.
