Editors' review

This intensive program lets users maintain extremely detailed medical records; however, setting up the data is time-consuming and the Start Help Window is confusing. Personal Health Desk's crowded interface is packed with features such as the ability to track insurance, doctors, appointments, tests, treatments, drugs, immunizations, family history, and much more. The thorough databases also let the user set event reminders or create and monitor in-depth disease-prevention plans. Once the program is set up, users can summarize and print complete medical histories or print specific records. Additional diagnostic tools include a joint mannequin, a human body caricature to mark skin abnormalities, and health-screening tools. Users also can create detailed disease-prevention plans and track their progress. This password-protected program includes multiple user capabilities. Users who want to keep track of important health records for the entire family will want to consider this fully-functional 30-day trial.

"A useful programme for keeping track of health issues."

    August 21, 2009   |   By Lillian64

    Version: Personal Health Desk 2.04

    Pros

Useful for keeping a record of appointments and outcomes, medication and history

    Cons

It is a pity it is set up mainly for the American market

    Summary

If this programme had not been so orientated towards the American market it would have been very useful for attending Doctors and Hospitals in the UK as one is constant asked for the same details over and over again. This said with some slight adaptations I have been using it for this purpose, printing out the parts needed and handing them over at consultations. Saves time in trying to remember everything.
