Organizing login information is a painless process with this user-friendly password manager. Novices will especially appreciate its straightforward user interface.
Password Dragon opens with an intuitive interface that isn't overwhelming. Menu and toolbar items run across the top, and individual login information is displayed in the main window. To help users, the program activates only the buttons necessary for the task at hand to avoid any confusion. When we clicked on the New File button, we were directed to the Add Record button, which was then activated. The input fields are all self-explanatory, and we quickly entered account information, including username, password, and site URL. The program includes a password generator, and the ability to launch the Web site. The Options menu gives you all sorts of settings for masking certain login info, setting an inactivity timeout, and copying items to your clipboard at startup. When we were finished, we were able to easily save information in an encrypted file.
We really liked this programs no fuss, no muss approach to protecting login information. We recommend it for all users.

Version: Password Dragon 5.0.8
Pros: Works great, I tried several password storage programs. I couldn't stand them, and kept using an excel file for years. Finally found one. It doesn't even need to be installed to run. I'm fine with that. It would probably run on a public computer as a limited user. It would probably run off of a flash drive.
Cons: It doesn't support my mouse wheel. The startup screen is a little girlish. 'rainbows, etc.'

Version: Password Dragon 5.0.8
"It is very unprofessional, awkward"
Pros: Someone tried.
Cons: The Import is crazy, couldn?t get it to work, .csv, .txt or otherwise. Seems to be a flaw with size. Furthermore, what?s this ?Bulk Action? under Record ? It goes nowhere. Think I?ll stick with the DB I?ve been using for 6-7 years now.

Version: Password Dragon 5.0.8
Pros: Has a fairly clear method for importing password data from another program. Interface simple and dated looking but works.
Cons: Could use more modern interface. Would be handy to be able to import old data from spreadsheet format (CSV format is awkward).

"If it would install, maybe it's good."
Pros: Unknown -- has to install.
Cons: Would not install properly (Vista) -- tried 3 downloads and installs.
Summary: A waste of my time.

Version: Password Dragon 5.0.8
Pros: I wish I knew. I felt challenged to get this to work because of the problems others were having.
Cons: No problem downloading the zip file. Already had updated Java to newest version. Unzipped into unique folder and double clicked on "passworddragon.jar" file. Nothing. I turned off firewall and resident spyware/antivirus software. Still no go?????
Summary: Obviously the product has some excellent qualities considering some of the glowing reviews. I sure wish I knew what my problem is. I now plan to check out other alternatives.
