    ""Must have" Password Manager"

    March 23, 2014   |   By Alvargaspo

    Version: Password Depot 7.0.8

    Pros

I have many good things to say about this tool. Very easy to save all my confidential data securely using Password Depot. It offers many services that can be expected from a good password manager. Highly flexible and Secure. It also offers many customizable modes which makes the usablity of this tool clearly understable. The customer support is too good.

    Cons

    Cannot think of any.

    Summary

I have been using this tool since 2 years now. I can definitely say that it saves lot of time in my everyday life. No complains at all, makes my life easy.

"I chose Password Depot after trying others"

    April 23, 2013   |   By JW_III

    Version: Password Depot 6.2.2

    Pros

I find it easy to use on my home desktop and on my USB flash drives. I also find it helpful with the countless computer passwords required at work. What I appreciate most is that passwords are encrypted and stored on my personal drives, not on a cloud somewhere. Call me paranoid if you will, but I have zero confidence in clouds.

    Cons

This is a very intuitive program and I rarely need to use the help file. However, the two times I have needed the help file I didn't find the information I was searching for. Don't get me wrong, the help file for this program is well categorized and extensive. As I said the program is very intuitive and I solved my issues with a little patience and persistence.

    Summary

I tried several highly recommended password managers before I chose Password Depot. The user interface is easy to use, it features AES-256 encryption, it has a great password generator, it also has "Program Protection" which protects Password Depot itself, and a host of other useful functions if you care to use them. Although Password Depot can also function with servers I was sold on the ability to store my encrypted passwords locally on my devices. I've been using Password depot approximately one year and I've found updates are sufficient to keep up with browser updates. I do not work for the company I'm just a happy user of their software. I recommend you give Password Depot a try if your looking for a strong password manager.

    Pros

    transparent, quick, easy

    Cons

    none so far

    Summary

I like it and its free

    Updated on Jan 10, 2011

Sorry, my comments refer to the wrong software. I did not like using Password Depot. I deleted it and downloaded Last Pass Software instead. Last Pass works like a charm -- all comments refer to it not Password Depot
