"Removed Keylogger and Others Missed by Regular Security"
Pros: Catches things missed by my regular anti-virus program. =D
Cons: The scan is pretty slow
Program updates interrupt and minimize online gaming, which is one of the main reason I got rid of Norton. In all fairness I intend to see if there is an option I can select to allow automatic updates w/o asking my permissionSummary: I gave up Norton long ago in favor of PC Tools Spyware Dr. w/ Antivirus and I must say I am generally satisfied with that product. Recently I noticed that my laptop had been running slowly, the CPU was maxed and running hard all the time, I was gett... read more >>

Version: ParetoLogic Anti-Virus Plus 6.0
Pros: Hmmm let me see...... Nothing!!!!!
Cons: It's a con with the free scan and pay for download. Finds stuff that is not really there.
Summary: Sent me an email ad about free scanning for the Conficker virus. Thought it would be an online scan, but starts downloading a huge Anti virus program, so I let it continue. Finally it scanned my pc and found a bunch of stuff that AVG allegedly miss... read more >>

"Slowed my computer down so much it was almost unusable"
Pros: none that I can think of.
Cons: Try to make contact with the company to cancel, the only way is my mail or through product support. Not the most friendly.

Version: ParetoLogic Anti-Virus Plus 6.0
"Flagged many required programs as dangerous"
Pros: XP-Pro SP3 on IBM T40 Seems to run a very thorough check. Caught all the cookies I knew were there. Ran over 2 hours on a 23Gb system.
Each item flagged has a "details" tab, which will tell you if it is truely malicious.Cons: Flagged manufacturer installed PC Doctor as malicious. Flagged several MS updates as malicious. Flagged segments of the operating system as malicious.
Slowed my system down to 3 minutes to bring up control panel etc. Boot now took 7 min was3 minSummary: With all the valid programs and segments which it was willing to delete, I can't trust it.
