From Paraben :

Try a full-featured screen capture tool and graphics editor. Capture regular windows screens, DirectX, Direct3D, 3dfx Glide Games (Voodoo series cards), and some video/DVD players. The captured image can be edited and saved as a BMP, GIF, JPEG, TIFF, or several other image types. You can also use the program to convert any of your existing images to one of the supported formats. The editing tools allow you to modify the captured image.

"doesn't copy video"

Cons: doesn't copy video from windows media player, so was no use to me.

"These screencapture programs should tell the truth!"

Version: Paraben's Screen Capture 4.3

"This program will get all of your images just the way you like it."

Pros: When you want to capture images from your desktop, multiple monitors, capture devices, or programs that you use often, this is the software you should use. It is a little awkward to use at first but quickly becomes an indispensible desktop tool.
