And now we're offering our users a trial of our high-quality streaming video and audio. Meet millions of people in existing audio and video chat rooms or create a videoconference of your own to bring together other users with similar interests. No Webcam is required to see people. Plus, you can share photos, files, and messages instantly with any Paltalk user. If you want to chat without the video and voice features, you can always instant message and use Paltalk for real-time text chat. New smileys, video overlays, and the 'nudge' are only a few of program's great features.

Version 9.1 enhances live video streaming for improved picture clarity and contrast, adds Screen Capture feature to show other Paltalkers what's on your screen, and allows to capture video and images via your Webcam and post it to your Paltalk profile.

Paltalk's integration of video, audio and text chatting unified into one window makes for a strong chatware program that includes a wealth of features.

Parental controls employ a password to change settings or block groups; adult content is hidden by default and all rooms are moderated. Add in the room ratings of G, R and A, and safe chatting is a cinch. Right-clicking a person's name gives a user-defined amount of personal information, with private room invite and file sending options. Sessions can be printed and saved, and buddy lists from other chat accounts can be automatically imported. Version 9 includes music feeds from Rhapsody and multiplayer games in case you get bored talking.

However, the abundance of pop-up ads, which strike even while you're in the middle of joining a room, might motivate users to pay for a subscription or look elsewhere. Free accounts only can open Webcams for a few seconds; paid users can open multiple video windows. The app crashed for us when closing, and the system slowdowns were disappointing. Uninstalling Paltalk left an icon on the desktop.

Still, the thousands of rooms for politics, karaoke, tech advice, and porn mean that anybody can find a connection on Paltalk.

  "Claims to be "Spyware Free" but I disagree...GET TRILLIAN"

  Cons: I used to use PalTalk all the time 4 years ago. However, there was no support for other chat clients so I stopped using it. I decided to give this one a go, but while installing my VirusScan and Anti-Spyware software went off like crazy. The problem? PalTalk trying to install adware on my PC. Just read the system requirements, PalTalk required Internet Explorer 5.0 TO DELIVER POP UPS! I immediately blocked all of PalTalk's access to the internet, and then removed it. Try Trillian instead. No ads, no spyware, no B/S.

  "Excellent Program which is fun to use."

  Pros: Allows import of buddy lists.

  Nice GUI.

  Easy to use.

  Parental filters are a nice improvement.

  Cons: Security Defaults are limited and can cause errors. The Program needs to be better secured better.

  Pros: PalTalk supporters very nice!!

  Helpful and friendly, somemore they're live talking with u in the chat rooms, cool!

  Cons: Will have pop up after some times.

  "The 20 foot effect..."

  Pros: "The 20 foot effect..meaning when your looking at it from a far with few detail it looks great get a closer look and boom you wanna run!"

  Pros: The sound quality was great and almost never any lag. (Even tested it on a dail up connection)

  It does as it says but to an extent.

  Cons: Cons: You have to pay for the video conferencing (which is free on similiar programs such as trillian etc)

  The people are mainly from Europe for those who are american beware they are very rude to Americans..also this basic version (the trail requires a credit card) has limited use like I said the 20 ft effect.. I recommend you to download trillian I have had a nice encounter with it...this program however gives a who new meaning to the phrase "dont judge a book by its cover"...Silver winds

  "they took $100 and ran.Avoid this scam."

  Pros: nice cams when they work.

  Cons: No customersupport and contains spyware.I paid $100 and forgot my password and that was it.They wont even give me a new password.Avoid these clowns.
