Version: PageBreeze Free HTML Editor 3e
"Doesn't support web standards"
Pros: Very clean and easy to navigate.
Cons: While I understand that this product is not marketed as an XHTML editor, I can't understand how any product released in mid-2006 could be so in the dark as to "auto-correct" (without asking!!) html tags so that they no longer comply with current XHTML standards. I brought a painstankingly hand-coded document into this program, which by the way, had been validated by WC3 Tidy with no warnings or errors, only for it to reformat img tags, line breaks, etc and remove the extra slash that W3 recommends as the proper way to close the tag. I even tried to go back into the code and reinsert the missing slashes, only for PageBreeze to remove the slashes when I saved the file. (Thankfully I have a backup!)
If you're only using the WSIWG aspect of this program, then I guess the only issue if the faulty code you'll be contributing to the mass of internet pollution (myspace anyone?) but if you're actually familiar with html coding and looking for a simple editor with syntax coloring capabilty, avoid this like the plague.

"Kept losing mywork when switching modes"
Pros: Decent features and easy to use... now if only it wouldn't lose data...
Cons: I hate doing things twice... and there appears to be a bug in the product that deletes your work when you switch to/from WYSIWYG mode and HTML code. I'm not really sure what was going on - but I kept loosing all the edits I was making. This made the product useless to me. To make matters worse, an email to their tech support was never answered. I'm currently testing NAMO, and it appears to work well.

"Simple and good, except one little bug"
Pros: I just needed a program to modify the contents of an HTML page in a WYSIWYG mode. This program fits the bill nicely.
Cons: When I edit my page, switching between the preview mode and the editing mode resets everything back to a blank page. If you save, you will wipe out/lose your orignial project. I've re-download and re-installed and still the same issue. If not for this -- I'd have no complaints. This one, however, is a big issue.

"Works with older versions of Windows very much like FrontPage Express"
Pros: I've only been using Page Breeze for a few days but so far I love everything about it. I've used FrontPage for over 5 years and have been spoiled with it. When all my program files got lost (teen ager who thought he knew more than mom)I didn't have time to back-up/restore everything and couldn't find FPE I went searching for a substitute and found PageBreeze. It's great - Ok I'm behind the times running Win98 on my main PC and Win95 on my laptop. PageBreeze is better than FrontPage because I can run it on both systems (FP only worked on 98). I still have a lot to learn about PageBreeze but from what I've seen so far it won't take long for me to be totally comfortable with it. I would highly recommend it to others...

Version: PageBreeze Free HTML Editor 3e
"Tried many - this one's the best"
Pros: I tried about half a dozen different "freebie" website creation programs, and every one got deleted after a day or two. Then I found Pagebreeze and been using it for about a year and a half. Very easy to use (I'm not an expert and do not know html). I was able to create some great web pages, import some of my own graphics, and then I just upload through my website upload program. I can edit and make changes and get them up and running in a matter of a minute or two. Couldn't ask for anything more, even if I'd paid for it!
