We appreciate the way programmers are always looking out for us, popping up dialog boxes to make sure we really, really want to delete that file or reformat that drive. Still, most dialogs are a pain. They're always asking the same questions, getting the same answers. Luckily, there's PTFB (Push The Freakin' Button) Pro, a simple but fiendishly useful little macro program. Tell it which dialogs to watch out for and which buttons to push when they appear. Next time one does, PTFB Pro, well, pushes the freakin' button. PTFB Pro provides several fine-tuning options, including a delay setting for older PCs and slow-responding applications. Advanced users can record and edit sophisticated macros. You can even set PTFB Pro to start or not start macros depending on the hour and the day (though we can hardly think of any application for this feature). All in all, PTFB Pro can save a lot of time and annoyance for people who live on their PCs.Publisher's description
From Technology Lighthouse :PTFB Pro is a macro recorder with auto-response capability. Packed full of all the powerful features that you'd expect from a fully-featured macro recorder, PTFB Pro takes automation of repetitive tasks to a new level with its capability to trigger a macro in response to a specific window appearing. This makes it ideal for minimizing the disruption and irritation caused by today's attention-craving programs. Tell PTFB what buttons to press and when, and you'll finally be free of your computer's nagging requests to check for updates, to change your default browser, and to make sure it's OK to do the very thing you've just told it to do. PTFB Pro has stacks of advanced features to turbo-charge your macros and fine-tune playback. Define the default settings for all new macros; choose from a variety of triggering mechanisms; edit macros and add custom commands to run scripts, programs and even other macros. You can even have PTFB Pro keep track of its actions and notify you by email.
Version 3.1.1 adds provisional support for Windows Vista and extends maximum initial and repeat delays to 8 hrs. Clicking enable/disable checkbox on a selected item now toggles all selected items.
What's new in this version:
- Provisional support for Windows Vista
- Extended maximum initial and repeat delays to 8 hrs.
- Clicking enable/disable checkbox on a selected item now toggles all selected items
- Disabling an item or disabling PTFB while it is in the system tray temporarily releases any associated item hotkeys. This is handy if you've defined a hotkey that clashes with a menu shortcut in another program.
- Command line now limited to two item IDs (space separated)
- Corrected drag/drop orderin... see all new features
