CNET Editors' review
This video converter is made by Red Kawa, the same folks who now make the popular Videora iPod video converter. Although both programs are plagued by rampant advertising, the situation is much, much worse in this one. The ads take up much more screen space than they do in the iPod video converter, and the ones for the PS3 include shrill voices excitedly informing the user that you have won not one but two, yes two, iPod Nanos. And judging from the included images, they're old Nano models at that.
Although freeware with ads can be annoying, the manner of inclusion here goes beyond irritating and interferes with interface navigation. Video conversion rates were fine, but the cluttered and unintuitive UI significantly hampers the user's ability to determine what comes next: Pop-up boxes indicating subsequent steps are not easily distinguished from the ads that surround them.
We have noted some user complaints about the conversion success rate, so although we did not encounter any problems, we recommend using this converter as a near-last resort.

"Needs a lot of work!!!!!!"
Version: PS3 Video 9 2.25
Pros
Quick install. Recommended by a lot of people on BBS boards.
Cons
Didn't work for me. Uses web browser for GUI interface. Broken links to key parts of the program. LARGE NUMBER OF SCRIPT ERRORS.
Summary
I saw that this program was recommended by many as a way to convert many different CODEC video to playback on the PS3. The installation was quick but I was unable to get it to work at all! The software uses your browser for the GUI and this is it's major problem. Any time I chose an option or tried to proceed to the next step, I would get TONS of errors involving invalid script commands, unhanded exception (?), non-responding scripts and the like. If is did get to the next step say "chose output format" I would get an empty window. Usually the function buttons would appear as links that A) did nothing when clicked up, B) would give a browser crashing error C) give a script error. I was not able to get any videos to convert to anything. The closest I got was selecting a video for conversion but not being able to start the conversion. Either the button would not appear and when it did it was not responsive (did nothing when clicked). I had tried the soft ware on two different XP machines and a Vista all with similar results. Don't know what the other people did to get theirs to work but mine never did. I would not even go so far as to say that this is "half baked". More like all the ingredients are still on the shelf waiting to be mixed together. Based on my experience I would not recommend any of this companies products.

"Works Sometimes"
Version: PS3 Video 9 2.25
Pros
cannot find anything good to say.
Cons
works maybe 50% of the time. The videos get converted and playable in the PC but cannot be played in PS3.
Summary
Instead of using this, recommend to use another product from this same developer called Videora Xbox360 which can be found here in cnet. This software has better success rate (maybe 95%) in converting videos that will play in the PS3. Strange but true.

"not very friendly"

Cons
too hard to use
-
"Not For Vista!!!"
Version: PS3 Video 9 2.25
Pros
Never got to experience the software
Cons
Definitely has issues with Vista
Summary
I have Vista Home Premium and despite claims that it is compatible with Vista, I experienced similiar issues of other posters. I tried on two separate occasions to use this application, but both times my computer became unstable and eventually froze altogether. I recommend trying freeware- mkv2vob, dvd flick & format factory or ConvertXdvd & Xilisoft pay converters.
