This e-mail client application notifies you when e-mail comes in to any POP, MSN, Hotmail, or Yahoo account you specify. Despite being freeware, POP Peeper is a full-featured program with numerous settings and configurations. It lets you assign different WAV files as notification sounds for each of your various e-mail accounts. The program also sends visual notification.
You can open either POP Peeper or your e-mail client to check your new mail. Extensive help is available within the program and at the publisher's Web site. Modem users will appreciate the program's ability to go online, check e-mail, and log off at a specified interval. Folks with multiple e-mail accounts and not a lot of cash are most likely to benefit from POP Peeper.

From Mortal Universe :POP Peeper is an e-mail notifier that supports POP3, Hotmail, MSN, Yahoo, Mail.com, MyWay, Excite, Lycos.com, and RediffMail accounts. Several options are available to indicate you have received new e-mail, including sounds, a pop-up alert, and flashing the Scroll Lock LED. Additional notification plug-ins can be downloaded including a skinned pop-up notifier and a screensaver. You also can read and delete messages, save attachments and send mail. Other features include easy account setup, password-protection, user interface customizations, individual account timers, and the ability to read your messages in HTML, rich text, or plain text. An SSL plug-in is available for download, which allows you to retrieve e-mail from POP3 servers that accept secure connections such as Gmail. Version 2.4.3 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, and bug fixes.

Pros: Good support for clients, what I didn't like about ePrompter is that it doesn't support users of Windows Live Mail and Yahoo Mail beta.
Cons: Gmail and Googlemail support please!

"The Best Email Checker (Free or otherwise)"
Pros: Does what it says, checks multiple accounts. Has lots of options and a very cool, customizable popup notification window.
Ignore the more negative reviews and properly config the program and keep up to date with the plugins, which it will do without you, and you'll know you've found a great application.
Cons: For the current version there's no way to open your default brower if it's anything other than IE...but this is known and will be added in the next release.

"I have lots of email accounts; POP Peeper keeps them organised."
Pros: POP Peeper has all the customisation you would ever need when trying to check multiple email accounts.
PEEPer gives each email a different colour so you can scan through your long list of emails and weedle out the ones you need; or you can just select the accounts you want to diminish the list to those specific emails.
There are Setup Wizards to help users that want to quickly make the program work for them; and these are easy to use.
It's great; and I can't recommend it enough.

"Very good and informative!!!"
Pros: This is one of the best mail notifiers I have used. A cute little mailbox style icon sits in your system tray and alerts you when you have new mail.If you have more than one email account it will let you know which account has mail by using different colors and how manynew emails you have.
Easy to set-up and use for all PC users novice or experienced.Very small file size and simple interface. Overall a good choice for someone with more than one email account that they need to keep notified of.
Cons: Nothing really. I use Firefox Web browser which has tabbed browsing so I set three tabs up with my email accounts to load when Firefox starts so at all time I can look if I have any new mail at one glance. POP Peeper will be useful for someone running I.E. with several email accounts.I however do not need it anymore now that I use a browser that I can view several tabs loaded with all my email accounts simultaneously.
