This e-mail client application notifies you when e-mail comes in to any POP, MSN, Hotmail, or Yahoo account you specify. Despite being freeware, POP Peeper is a full-featured program with numerous settings and configurations. It lets you assign different WAV files as notification sounds for each of your various e-mail accounts. The program also sends visual notification.
You can open either POP Peeper or your e-mail client to check your new mail. Extensive help is available within the program and at the publisher's Web site. Modem users will appreciate the program's ability to go online, check e-mail, and log off at a specified interval. Folks with multiple e-mail accounts and not a lot of cash are most likely to benefit from POP Peeper.

Version: POP Peeper 2.3.5
Pros: It's what it is, charming, you know, you're doing something, downloading something here, something there and, suddenly Pop Peeper, softly iforms you that you have an email arriving. That's so sofisticate!!Makes me feel like I'm living somewhere in the first world, some place like Canada, for instance. 10 to Pop Peeper.

Version: POP Peeper 2.3.5
Pros: One of the most incredibly amazing time saving software ever seen. Checks all my emails, allows me to delete spam & virus infected emails before downloading. The view as text minimizes virus infection.
Cons: There are no significant cons.

"one word describes this program and it's "excellent""
Pros: User friendly and just an overall excellent e-mail notifier. I like the way it opens an attachment too.

Version: POP Peeper 2.3.5
Pros: Once configured properally, this is a great little pop client email checker. It's very small and takes up hardly no resources on your machine. It works with nearly all email accounts, and you can configure it to work with gmail also. Simply download the SSL plugin and then enable it through that. Go to the main site and read through their instructions on how to check gmail. I really like this thing, the only negative is you have to play around with it and configure it just right to get it perfect but once you do it's great. I gave it 5 stars, but really I'd give it 4.5 if that were an option.
Cons: 1. Doesn't have native support for gmail. There is a work around and you can configure it via pop forwarding. See web site for instructions.
2. Tricky to get just right. Gotta play around with the settings so it doesn't delete any email by accident (as in gmail's case).

Version: POP Peeper 2.3.5
Pros: I've used e-prompter for quite some time, it has served me well, but this beats it hands down.
On web email, it is probably 10 times faster checking it. You can register all of your email accounts, and set it up to only check the ones you want it to. You can even create individual sounds to notify you for each account.
I only have a 28.8 connect with the modemn and with e-prompter, it could take up to 20 seconds to check just one account such as hotmail. This program, after the first time it logs on to an account will do it in just 2 to 4 seconds.
You also have the option of whether you want it to check for updates. So far - fantastic!
Cons: I can't think of a thing. I've been searching for something better for a long time and now I'm done searching....
