Publisher's description
From PIMEX Group :PIMEX MailExpress is a free software that gives you a powerful and efficient way to reach your customers and contacts via e-mail. It's perfect for individuals or businesses sending out newsletters, business notices and other essential information in plain text format. Each message can be personalized using a simple text template, so all addressees will receive letters intended for them only. Messages can be previewed and edited before they are sent out. Every e-mail job can be interrupted and restarted at any time. If there are any delivery failures, the program will resend messages simply with one mouse click. The program imports lists of e-mail addresses with optional parameters in text or CSV format, and requires a SMTP Server.

"Easy to use, but some issues..."
Pros: Good interface, very easy to start sending emails, easy to import lists. I just split up my 800 name list to be able to use the freeware. Generally works, can send to AOL.
Cons: Some emails take a very long time to send, up to 45 seconds for one email. When it can?t send an email, it seems to affect the 15 or so email addresses that follow. There?s never just one that doesn?t send, it?s always in batches of dozens, and it?s always caused by the first one that didn?t send. I finally had to isolate that one address, send it as a single mail (which worked), then resend the other 10 in a new batch. I sent them in groups of 100, so if there were 3 or 4 address that caused problems then I had to repeat the batch again and again until all of them finally went out. 600 email addresses took about an hour in the end?too long?

"The best for what it does - eazy, quick & slick."
Pros: Was looking for a program to handle mass e-mail batches from an excel flat-file database of names and addresses. The program handles HTML, however you have to create it yourself in your WYSIWYG editor - It can also display variables from any column in your source document - so you can change your "dear [someone]" to give the personal touch.
Cons: No HTML generator, no "history" of previous messages or user lists. These aren't big negatives however, because this prog knows what it does, and it does it well - you can use the other "program greats" like excel and dreamweaver to work everything else.

"Free version has limits but really is pretty good"
Summary: I have only tried the free version. Can't speak for paid version. The free version has a limit on how many you can send at once, but overall for free it's really pretty decent. I've tried several and I will continue to use this.

"Test Failed!!! 2 email sent out of 9..."
Pros: good in theory if it worked
Cons: Ran 2 tests to 9 email addresses, only 2 emails were delivered! the second test failed completely!!!-Nothing was sent...
i sent a test email from outlook express to my outlook to verify that the server was online and functioning 100%-test result: the email was delivered in 3 seconds!!!
This programme did not work for me...
