PHP Designer 2005 is a PHP editor designed to provide you with the complete set of tools you need for PHP coding. The development environment combines many powerful features such as customizable syntax schemes for PHP, HTML, XHTML, CSS, and SQL, a class/include browser, test and debug your scripts with the PHP interpreter, and integration of the PHP manual, parameter hint. It also features the ability to autoindent brackets, automatically close brackets, and grants access to common code/script libraries all combined in this one unique program. PHP Designer 2005 includes extra tools such as time-saving features like a FTP manager, a project manager, a file manager, a To-Do manager, code templates, snippet support, File format (Windows/Dos, Unix or Mac), export possibility to LaTex, HTML, and RTF.
Version 3.0.6 adds the options to turn off/on each AutoClose bracket, syntax schemes for Perl, Java, C#, VB, and some enhancements and bug fixes.

* full PHP functions list ordered in a neat tree view in the side bar
* store your own code snippets, again organized as a nice tree
* special characters and formatted date time
* syntax highlighting for PHP/VB/Java/C#
and *SQL* highlghting for **each database**(!!) like MySQL/ Ingres/ Oracle/ MSSQL.
* buttons for every HTML and PHP tag so you dont have to fight to remember syntax.
* internal preview if web server is set up
* Configurable tools - which means, in effect you can make it an IDE if you use batch files properly
* integrated PHP F1 help - shows the page from the manual directly!
* Still some more which I have not yet looked.

I like this cause, yes it would be good as a design set, for php, html css, xhtml and w/e. It works fine and no flaws or bugs in it.
Cons
Its confusing to use. So you'd want to get the hang of this first.

Pros
PHP, HTML, XHTML, CSS, and SQL and code debugger all in one place, just what a developer needs. Aside from that there is A FTP manager, project manager, file manager, To-Do manager, code templates, snippet support, File format, export possibility to LaTex, HTML, and RTF. Every resource needed to make a successful web building. No paid program yet offered this much resources.
Cons
Not intended for novice. Help file, interface isn’t targeted to supply enough info for a new developer. It’s best for those who already well introduce with the PHP & other scripting. Except for this lacking, this is a rocking editor. Hey even mighty Microsoft have lots of flaws in there programs.

Great PHP editor. I use it in combination with NetDrive for direct FTP editing. It also has built-in FTP support.

The interface is a bit slow when resizing.

it NEEDS to have a CODE FOLDING option. without it - only 300-400 lines of PHP code is a MESS. please please please - add a CODE FOLDING option, and i'll donate, totallY! :D

With good design skills, programming such as PHP , CSS, ASP , JSP , MySQL servers are really good for Increase the Self value as web Designer ,Developer and programmer from both incomes and knowledges , this tools open the door easily for professionals commerical Design into more user friendly interface and structures
