Despite the ease of quiz creation, no other program matches the PEST's question types: multiple choice, fill in the blank, flash card, drag-and-drop and essay question; and no other program matches the PEST's features: selective chapter testing, chapter-by-chapter results, save quiz in progress, retake entire quiz or retake incorrect, recycle incorrect (added back to remaining during quiz), question help comments or answer-specific help, picture links, timed quizzes, encryption for secure testing in the classroom, and a totally skinnable interface.
Version 2.89 adds Norwegian support to existing support for English, Spanish, Portuguese, French and German.
