With PE Explorer you can view, edit, and repair the internal structures of PE files with the click of a button. PE Explorer makes it easy to analyze source code, correct checksums, repair damaged resources, or modify the internal arrangements of PE files. It works with PE formats such as EXE, DLL, DRV, BPL, DPL, SYS, CPL, OCX, SCR, and other Win32 executables. Use it for serious development projects, for restoring lost information, for keeping damaged files intact, for determination of the existence of viruses or malicious code in the programs, to reverse engineer projects with missing source code, to view the imports/exports of the standard DLLs, or to simply reduce the numerous internal information sources of PE files into a more convenient viewing format.
The TypeLib data format, ToolBars, and Dialog Data can now be detected and displayed, Message Tables can now be edited, Animated Cursors can now be displayed and replaced, the Entry Point value can now be modified using automatic range checking, provided the new value falls within the permissable range. Disassembly time for Borland VCL executables is reduced up to 25 percent. Objects found in Borland VCL executables can be saved immediately after the preload step, and a lot more.
Version 1.60 is resizable and features maintained control positions. XP styles have been added to the open file type list, and changes to the output format for ImageLists have been added.
