It might be hard to believe, but the PDF sun doesn't rise and set on Adobe Acrobat. This suite of PDF-creation tools offers a cheaper alternative based on open-source software called Ghostscript. PDFill PDF Editor lets you design PDF documents complete with text boxes, embedded images, hyperlinks, and forms, and can output encrypted PDFs. In addition to the main application, the suite provides a number of utilities for splitting and merging documents, watermarking them, and adding headers and footers. We're glad to have them, but we would be even happier to see them integrated into the main program. Besides the logo the demo places atop every document, our only other complaint with PDFill PDF Editor is that it's quite slow at opening large (400-page) PDFs, even on a fast computer. Overall, PDFill PDF Editor probably won't make Adobe quake in its boots, but it's a good option for users who don't need the power of the Adobe package, or don't want to pay for it.Publisher's description

Version: PDFill PDF Editor 7.0
"Surprisingly good for the price - highly recommended."
Pros: It's very professionally designed and works great. I does everything I need at a great price. Way cheaper than Adobe Acrobat, Nitro PDF or Foxit Phantom, and does everything I need!
Cons: It can be a bit slow when handling larger PDFs, and it slows right down if you insert images that are too big. But I reduce the size of the images and then it worked just fine. The interface takes a bit of getting used to, but then it's fine.
Summary: I needed to edit a PDF of a book for a friend of mine, and I didn't want to pay for an expensive PDF editor. I was amazed that this does almost everything I could wish for, at a really great price. It uses a Vista-style interface which is great an... read more >>

Version: PDFill PDF Editor 7.0
Pros: I'm able to type into PDF documents by filling in a blank or by typing directly on the "page"--it was my first foray into editing PDF, and I've stuck with it!
Cons: I can only show one page at a time. This is annoying, but it's not really a big issue.
Summary: I can edit PDF, and that's something I want and need to do (for applications and so forth), This program does exactly what I need.

"Full featured but 100 page limit, UI is cluttered"
Pros: Loads of features
Cons: UI Clutter
Will only edit PDF's up to 100 pagesSummary: Software creates a project for each new pdf that is edited.
I just wanted to extract a single page from a 300 page document.
I couldn't do it because there was a 100 page limit.
Acrobat handles this easily

"good software and knowledge support team"
Pros: practical and easy to use, developer has thorough ideas about what pdf users would need and want ..... obviously a lot of brain and heart have be contributed
Cons: more responsive feedbacks would be nice as u never know if your questions have reached them until u got the answer
Summary: good product in good price - whoever using it for free should buy it as basic support

Version: PDFill PDF Editor 7.0
Pros: It's fairly common nowadays to have a variety of forms to fill out for medical purposes. Frequently a PDF copy is available but it isn't designed to be filled in online. PDFill solves this problem very well.
Cons: Although the author spent quite a lot of time trying to solve a problem I had with trying to use a home built signature font, it ended up being a problem outside of PDFill. He suggested a simple workaround; use a graphic signature image instead.
Summary: Like any new application, there's a learning curve, but it's definitely worth the effort. And the author will help if you can't find the information in the help file or FAQs. I'm on my third or fourth major update now, and they were all included i... read more >>
