Version: PDF995 7.8s
Pros: For $10 you get the print driver, for $20 you get the driver, plus utilities to combine and sign PDFs. No watermark on trial, just ads, that go away when you register. Free updates after registering.

Version: PDF995 7.8s
"makes pdfs (via printing); and, combine pdfs (using pdfEdit995: another program)"
Pros: makes pdfs and combines pdfs (and haven't tested other aspects, but seems chalk full of options)
Cons: Besides wanting to download a free ps to pdf converting during install (but I chose not to and didn't seem to affect the program), I had to install pdfEdit995 in order to combine pdfs (i.e. WHY isn't it just all one package?).

"Economical Solution, Few Limitations"
Pros: For $10 you get the print driver, for $20 you get the driver, plus utilities to combine and sign PDFs. No problems with reading output. No watermark on trial, just ads, that go away when you register. Free updates after registering.
Cons: A little clunky to use with separate modules, difficult to recover from interruptions in printing flow.

"Was good then... and it's good now"
Pros: I've been using PDF995 since ver 4.x and it is still a great free substitute to Adobe.
