"excellent performance and free"
Pros: Don't believe the negative reviews; as with other reviewer; saw neg review and had to comment; great product; does what it says; very good accuracy; good install; has nag screen but small price to pay for what you get and the price for the program is very reasonable especially when you buy their package; a very powerful program for FREE and they complain about the ads, oh, boy; used program to convert WORD docs; combined PDFs; everything was flawless

"One of the worst downloads I have ever made."
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: One of the most annoying and badly thought-out apps I have seen. To get full functionality you should download and install three parts: Pdf995, PdfEdit995 and Signature995. I don't see any reason for that (a couple of extra MB in this case isn't a reason): I would prefer one installation file but with a chance to make a custom installation. All three (including a driver four) installation files are selfextracting: when you start installation they install themselves somewhere without asking you a word. Very bad: I prefer to control the installation process myself. Besides that I use a special software for the installation process (Ashampoo UnInstaller Plus Suite): it was a real problem for it. I never saw such complex and inconvenient installation. In the end I didn't find the installed files in Program Files folder where they are usually installed by other programs. After some search I found them just on my C:\ drive! What's the heck? Why? It was not very difficult for me as I'm experienced enough in computing and know how to look for things on my PC but for a novice it would be a nightmare I can suppose. The work of the program is awful: popups GALORE after each step. I totally agree with the reviewer named Fling Clooten who wrote: "Free isn't free if it wastes your time!" The uninstalling was also a problem: the program's own uninstaller left tons of rubbish on my hard drive. I have spent quite much time and efforts to clean it. I don't recommend pdf995 to anybody, especially to novice. One of the worst downloads I have ever made.

"One of the best deals on the Net."
Pros: Does exactly what it proclaims to do: Produces great looking pdf documents from any application source. It takes care of 90% of my pdf needs.
Cons: Those trialware nag screens get on your nerves after awhile. But worth it if you're on a tight budget or just only want to check it out. For $20 bucks its a great value (and it gets rid of the nags)

Version: PDF995 6.87s
Pros: Seems to do a good job of converting text and basic images.
Cons: Get used to the pop ups. Also, if you embed objects (like a Visio diagram) in Word, you'll lose the text labels. Only the boxes and lines convert, no text in an "embedded object".

"Free, easy to use, nice and clean results"
Pros: This is a free program that delivers exactly what it promises on the website. The program creates PDF documents from any program that has a print option. There are two files to download and if you only download one and try to use the program, you will be advised to download the other. The pop-up window is a "Nag-Screen" which appears only to the person who creates the file. The final PDF document is clean and accurately created. Installation is easy and quick. There are no options (none needed). The files install in their own directory C:\PDF995>. If you want great functionality without the nag screens, just upgrade the program. I will continue to use the free version. The ads in the nag screen are easily blocked by a good firewall program as well.
