The PDF Design XTension enables the creation of Acrobat navigation directives from within QuarkXPress, thus eliminating the need to launch the Acrobat Exchange application. Acrobat Exchange adds information (e.g. bookmarks, hyperlinks) to PDF files. Without the XTension, changes made to the QuarkXPress document necessitates regeneration of the PDF file, which implicates that all information added with Acrobat Exchange will be lost. With the PDF Design XTension, however, PDF control directives are saved with the QuarkXPress document which means that every change will be updated automatically from within the document itself.
