Publisher's description

From Acrocat Software :

PDAbs is an application that makes it easy and fun for individuals, families, and personal trainers to organize their fitness goals and results. Design your custom workout on your Palm OS PDA, bring your PDA with you to the gym, and simply check off the exercises as you complete them. You can start using PDAbs immediately. The program has more than 150 workout routines and exercises pre-programmed, so setting up your exercise routine takes only a few minutes. With one tap of the stylus, you're ready to enter a workout, or plan future workout routines. It's easy to sort and view your workouts by person or client, by type, or by date. In PDAbs' strength/resistance section, you set up your strength workouts, and record seat position and sets. The cardio/aerobic section lets you track the category, time, distance, heart rate, and course that you run, bike, step, or walk.

"No Other Application Even Comes Close"

by bigbugger on December 2, 2006

Pros: Rarely is there an application so professional and versatile with great, pain-staking attention to detail that is also amazingly user-friendly and extremely practical. PDAbs is the best and most complete workout-related application to date. There is nothing in the market that even comes close. With an intuitive interface and graphically understandable charts, this amazing application will remove the burden of note-taking during the workouts and make inputting your workout data fun and easy. I highly recommend this application for beginners who are just starting out or for the fitness professionals who keep track of not only their personal fitness but their clients as well.

"I would recommend this program to anyone who needs to keep track of their workou"

by scolbert on April 23, 2006

Pros: My wife and I joined a gym this year and can never remember what weight, reps, and seat position we used, so I sought a palm application that would keep track of those things. Since my wife would never keep track of these things, I limited my search to apps that enable more than one user. First, PDAbs opens quickly. It doesn''t take 2 minutes of splash screens to load like some programs. Adding new users ("clients" in PDAbs) is easy. There are lots of exercises and aerobic activities in the app, and it is easy to add more--two features I find important. One feature I wish it had is the ability to skip through a scroll list by writing in the first letter (through Graffiti, for example). My typical aerobic exercise is "walking briskly" on the treadmill, and it is hard to keep hitting the down arrow while walking. (The treadmill shuts off the distance, calories, etc., if I am not using it.) On the strength part, I like the ability to repeat a workout, to record seat position, and different weight/reps for different sets. I also like being able to select the area of the body first, then pick from a subset of the list of exercises. I think the graphics could use some work. The calendar in My Sport Trainer is very nice. The charts are also better in other programs. In sum, I would recommend this program to anyone who needs to keep track of multiple people''s workouts but does not need motivational wisdom, fancy graphics, or instructions on how to do the exercises.

    Cons: Absolutely none :)

    "Major flaws, too many bugs"

by dshannonrainwater on April 7, 2006

Pros: I like the functionality and the idea of it sync'ing with Palm

Cons: When I first loaded it on my palm it was great, then I loaded it on my desktop and it would not run. After 2 weeks of talking with Tech Support, they said that another program was interfering with it. Turns out it was my internet filter. The response from them. Turn off my filter. The problem is that I cannot turn off my filter. Sounds trivial but I want to protect my family from what is on the internet and expect to buy a product that will work filter or not. After loading all palm products, including PDAbs, to my laptop to sync my palm. Well, the problem now is that the unlock code will not work on either. The refund policy is that if you are in the trial period and have paid then they can refund your money. But, if you pay money then you get an unlock code. So, I just paid $40 in stupid tax. Do not make the same mistake.
