Despite recent improvements, this piece of snoopware still fails to measure up to the competition. On the plus side, PC Spy is reasonably stealthy. It doesn't show up anywhere on the Start menu and can't be disabled via the Task Manager. You have to browse to the Program Files folder and click the application's EXE file to activate it. Moreover, the latest version requires you to enter a password to uninstall the program or change settings. The problem is PC Spy's very limited feature set. The program can only take screenshots at user-specified intervals and cannot log keystrokes, send e-mail logs, or block certain Web sites. The demo will take screenshots only for a few seconds at a time, and it displays a nag screen that makes it useless in real-world situations (which, to be fair, is the point). We'd suggest most users seek out a more powerful, functional, and secure monitoring application.

Publisher's description

From SoftDD Software :

Secretly monitor what is being viewed on your computer while you are away. This software allows you to capture and save screen images while you are away from your computer, showing you exactly what was being viewed on your computer at specific intervals, which you can set. It also includes password protection, and all screens can be captured, including chat windows, email windows, Web pages, and anything else shown on the monitor. PC Spy runs completely hidden in the background, includes password protection, and all captured screenshots are only viewable with the PC Spy software.

You simply select activate and how often you wish to capture the screenshots, and the software will begin working without any notice to the user. This software can also be activated USB or diskette, making it even more stealthy.
