While some of the negatives for this program have to do with form and not functionality, the major drawback is that this stealth monitoring tool isn't completely protected. PC Spy Keylogger's UI looks good at first glance, but the text descriptions for the jumbo buttons indicate that something was lost in the translation.
"Set options that how to monitor the computer." That's one example. You can figure out what it means, but it takes a second. Then we found that one of the four smaller buttons on the side, labeled Global Setting, takes you to the same destination as Enter Control Panel. None of the other buttons to start or stop monitoring, view logs, and set up log delivery options was duplicated.
Once we got done to the business of monitoring user activities, however, PC Spy Keylogger redeemed itself somewhat. It's easy to specify which users to monitor and you can have the log files, which include all keystrokes, sent via e-mail or FTP. You also can target your efforts by entering keywords. Each time one is used, the program takes a screenshot. The biggest flaw is that PC Spy Keylogger only asked us for the master password at first launch. If you walk away from your PC, others could access the program and change your settings.
You'll only have 10 days to try out the demo version. Although we liked some of the features, we lost confidence in this program early in the game and it was never fully recovered.
PC Spy Keylogger is a top-rated, invisible and easy-to-use surveillance tool that records every keystroke to a log file. The log file can be sent secretly with e-mail or FTP to a specified receiver.
The keylogger can also detect specified keywords and take a screenshot whenever one is typed, displaying findings in a tidy log viewer. It causes no suspicious slowdowns and takes very few system resources. All this is happening in full stealth mode so the person you are monitoring will never be aware of it.
