This application enhances your Windows Recent Documents function by expanding user capability to view recent documents, although it only records opened folders when a particular operation is performed.
PC Recent not only reveals recent files but also their full path, which is very handy if you've forgotten a file's location. PC Recent's interface surely won't win design any awards, but it's straightforward and simple enough for any user. While the program has the common Recent Documents list, it can also effectively record accessed programs, including the time and the complete path. The app also can record text Clipboard contents, plus the added Internet Explorer Favorites. It includes a search engine for quickly finding folders and files within the compiled list.
However, PC Recent can only detect access to a folder if operations such as Copy, Paste, or Rename are made within the folder. Merely opening a folder does not put it on the list of recently-accessed files and folders. Nonetheless, any user can surely find this application handy and useful.

"A good idea but needs some improvements"

Pros
This is the kind of program that I was looking for. The idea came up in myself too. It should be easier if a program could list the most frequently used folders. This is the only software here for the moment that tries to do these things. Haven't found similar software here.
Cons
It's a nice idea but there must be made some improvements and bug fixes before I'm satisfied. It doesn't seem to recognise mp3's played in winamp for example. When I click on something in the 'documents' list an error appears where the folder should be displayed. Folders are only listed when you do operations on them. What I had in mind was a list of folders where files were opened recently, with the most frequently used folder on top. Not displaying the same folder in 1 list and no /windows and /program files folders. And if a lot of subfolders are frequently used, list the folder above. The tabs 'program', 'IE favorites' and 'clipboard' aren't that usefull for my use.
