Publisher's description

From Tech-IS :

OxyGen Code Generator creates source code for the Data Access and Business Layers of a typical .NET application. Stored Procedures are generated for the data layer and the initial relationship between tables are maintained in the business layer.

The WCF Services and Web Services (.asmx) that are generated gives you the option of exposing the services of your Business Layer across the network or internet. As a starting point to your presentation layer, an ASP.NET UI is also produced. The ASP.NET UI includes fully functional search capability, data browsing and complete data manipulation (create, update and delete).

Features:

  • Generates code for entity relationships.
  • Exposes a zero-code query builder.
  • Supports table and column name mapping.
  • Generates specialized code for Static Reference Tables.
  • Generates configurable data caching with auto refresh.
  • Scalable data paging (Data Source Paging).
  • Relationship denormalization code is generated for the Business Layer.
  • Generates Stored Procedures, Object Oriented classes and collections (generic List of T).
  • Does not use ad-hoc or parameterized queries (only Stored Procedures) which means a greater DB access security is provided.
  • Generates XML code comments.
  • The Complete data manipulation stack (i.e. Stored Procedures, Data Entity Classes, Data Access Provider, Caching, and Business Domain Model Classes) is generated.
  • The generated search API and pages include 'FullText' features.
  • Compile option: use the generated dlls and never look at the code.
  • WCF Services (.svc) and Web Services (.asmx) are generated to expose the Business Services Layer (new).

What's new in this version:

  • Version 2.0 adds an extensive set of new features that are designed to empower the software professionals by adding structure to the software implementation and by reducing tedious and repetitive tasks.
  • In version 2.0 the implementation management has been greatly enhanced and there is a greater control regarding what will be generated or promoted. Wizards and specialized functionality have been added, stretching the limits of automation.
