Pros: I use Agnitum from the beginning and i am never disappointed, the firewall is robust, the antivirus and antispyware is updated every hour if needed. The suite works great and has a lot of filters and it have also HIPS and IDS that makes it for malware an extremely difficult operation to infect you unless you are an unsafe surfer even then the firewall makes it's own choose.
Cons: The first scan tookes too long for scanning 1.16 gb with 3 gb memory and an 64 bit processor it tookes 82 minutes. The antivurs/antispyware has not so much tuning you can only scan for embedded ole and heuristic thats all but thats the only thing i don't like.

Pros: To me, it seems very thorough. It's self-learning mode gets you off to a good start without a lot of under-the-hood tweaking. However, if you want to tweak, it appears to be very programmable.
Cons: Sometimes prevents a newly installed net access program from going on line. So I have to open the interface and manually grant permission.
Summary: I began with Agnitum's Outpost when it was freeware. Even then it seemed to be feature rich and advanced beyond its competitors. GRC's firewall test site could not get through. These guys at Agnitum keep grinding away to make it better and better. I... read more >>

"Agnitum Outpost Firewall Pro - to big and not needed."
Pros: I can express no positives at this time.
Cons: This firewall program to big: fluctuates between 9,950 MB and 11,081 MB on my hard drive. Based on a recommendation, at some point I must have downloaded the "free program" version and now I am unable to remove it.
Summary: After paying a major computer retailer to clean up my slow and freezing up computer I was told that the Agnitum firewall program takes up a lot of room on my hard drive for what it does and it duplicates and may conflict with other security programs... read more >>
