Opera Mini 4 delivers a fast, impressively advanced user-friendly experience with this upgrade to its mobile phone browser. Keypad hot keys speed up zooming and scrolling. The browser comes with a familiar mouse. You can create your own search shortcuts, synchronize your bookmarks with your other Opera browsers, and alternate between rendering views.
There's also a landscape mode activated by pressing the "#" and "*" keys, just not for BlackBerry phones or a few others. Other limitations exist, as well, most notably that Opera Mini isn't compatible with every carrier and model, so you'd best check the specs first.

Version: Opera Mini 4
Pros: Works 100% on 3SkypePhone. Much better bookmarking that the built-in Safari Browser. An amazing piece of software bringing the internet to any small screen device.
Cons: I would like it to run in the background line MSN messenger software so I don;t have to keep closing the application down to access other applications.

"Have a mobile? What are you waiting for? Get Opera Mini!"
Pros: Opera Mini opens all sites, including the ones filtered out by your ISP. It is fast, light on resources and supports almost all features that you ever expect in a mobile browser. It is a beauty as well as a best, when it comes to performance. I love it and cannot live without it.

"Won't work for the classics... Needs JVM (java"
Pros: Nice to look at on video... to bad i can't get to use it. smh
Cons: Won't run on my MDA...
I totally agree with "brecklundin" about it. I need the JVM module which is next to impossible to find and I should know, I?ve been looking. So from afar the software looks nice but it sucks for people like me who are running older PDA models (though mine is pretty comparable to what is being brought out today).
I hope they're smart enough to realize the oversight and update the software for people like me and brecklundin

"I suppose it is OK if you can find a way to get a JVM module for your PDA"
Pros: would not run on my Clie nx73v with Palm OS 5.0 so there are no positives.
Cons: Simple, it will not run on about a zillion PDA's more then a couple years old at the most...
Look around and there are MILLIONS of folks using 3-4 yr old PDA's who cannot get any version of the Websphere Java Runtime Module from IBM to work on their PDA which means there are MILLIONS who cannot use Opera 4, 3, whatever...I mean jeebus key-rist on a popcicle stick...it's a RUNTIME for goodness sakes IBM/Palm/Opera...it will take you and your resources all of a couple days to create one and fully debug it for the Sony Clie's...then again IBM has to have about 1000 meetings about how to ship a single box so maybe not...
I would have hoped the kind folks at Opera would have decided to make available ALL the components needed to run this browser. I for one have given up searching for the module.
