Opera Mini 4 delivers a fast, impressively advanced user-friendly experience with this upgrade to its mobile phone browser. Keypad hot keys speed up zooming and scrolling. The browser comes with a familiar mouse. You can create your own search shortcuts, synchronize your bookmarks with your other Opera browsers, and alternate between rendering views.
There's also a landscape mode activated by pressing the "#" and "*" keys, just not for BlackBerry phones or a few others. Other limitations exist, as well, most notably that Opera Mini isn't compatible with every carrier and model, so you'd best check the specs first.

Opera Mini allows you access to the full Internet on your mobile phone. Users can surf any Web site such as Google, Yahoo, Amazon, eBay, and Hotmail on their mobile phone just like they would on a normal computer. This includes the vast majority of today's WAP-enabled phones. Instead of requiring the phone to process Web pages, it uses a remote server to pre-process the page before sending it to the phone. This is perfect for phones with very low resources, or low bandwidth connections.
Version 3.0 adds new features like RSS support, photo sharing, and secure connections.

"Finally an app that makes full internet browsing possible on a GPRS phone!"
Pros: Very small download, fast and easy setup. Was really surprised at the quality of the webpages displayed. Went to check out my Gmail and Hotmail accounts with the browser and it worked great! Can finally have functional web browsing on my Nokia 7610 phone. Having Google and Wikipedia search on the start page is a bonus.
Cons: Unfortunately the #-button for shortcuts does not work on my Nokia 7610. Hangs it everytime, requiring me to remove the battery ... I just don't use that feature. :)

Version: Opera Mini (Symbian) 3.0.6
"Single Handedly Saved My E62"
Pros: Speedy web application that allows me to browse the entire net from my Nokia E62. Moving from Windows Mobile and IE to Symbian was finally made seamless with this product. Prior to loading this app. (which installs in seconds) was about to use my smartphone as an expensive paper weight.
